Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Better reputation is very subjective - changes every few years, often due to the firms taking turns messing up audits.
I've worked at several different firms, and there isn't an outright best. #1 factor is the specific teams you're on, the team dynamic, how interesting the client/work is, and things like that. These factors are all very circumstantial though and difficult to predict in advance.
I will say though - EY's internal systems and processes are lacking, and frankly embarrassing how bad some of them are. It's getting better, but change comes slow here.
PwC is considered better generally
Also, you get a lot of leaves and additional $150 every time you take 5 consecutive leaves
$250 for a week of vacation is what I think he is trying to say.
Better reputation a PwC! Also, if your PwC offer is pretty similar to the EY one, negotiate! Something seems off!
Worked at both. Hands down EY. Culture didn’t even compare. PWC fully of arrogant phonies. More money couldn’t make it better.
EY culture sucks.!! Full of Favouritism and "I'm better tha you" attitude in everyone. EY does not understand that technology wise they are atleast 8 years behind KPMG and 12 years behind Deloitte. Never had a chance at PWC. I'm wondering how are they getting the best workplace awards.!!! Are they being Sarcastic?
EY GDS- Generally deals only with global clients, similarly PwC AC is a new extension of PwC dealing mostly in secondment projects with its European and US counterparts
PwC is better, EY is a factory
Plz explain
I think it depends on the team, If you are going to join the UK compliance then please join PWC. EY UK compliance is horrible and has a lot of politics.
I've worked at two of the Big 4 and a second tier firm. EY's overall culture has been good, but it seems to have degraded the past few years - lip service only. Will also say I worked in multiple offices and practices at EY and had very different experiences in each - some great, mostly okay, and a few terrible. Had a mixed experience at the second tier firm and a bad experience at the other Big 4.
Based on my experiences - local office and practice culture matters more than the overall culture. Even the specific engagement teams have their own culture. The clients' culture sometimes spills over into the engagement team too. At EY, the tone at the top and are policies are mostly aligned to a quality culture, but in reality there are many out there always gaming the metrics - subtly encouraging people to eat hours, etc. If asked directly, everyone always says follow the policy, but nobody is directly told to eat time. There is just the reality that you'll be accused of mismanaging the projects if the budget is exceeded - usually the scoping was overly optimistic or uninformed.
