Considering joining Deloitte GPS but been hearing/reading about layoffs. Does anyone know if this situation has improved? Or is it still a risky move to make the jump? Thanks!

Interviewed with them in December, got positive feedback and then got ghosted.
Contacted me to interview again two months later with the same group of people and got positive feedback but they told me they got funding issues.

From what I can tell, Deloitte is not in a good shape rn and is looking for cheap labor.

Just my honest opinion

We’re hiring like crazy. Only the baddies get canned.

Not impossible, but not easy

We had too many people in some groups so they trimmed the fat or unstaffable. It happens everywhere, and D is a big up or out kind of place.

Hmm, doesn't look like many/any GPS position on the careers site that align for me, bummer. Wouldn't mind too much trying to be a boomerang.

like

Layoffs were concentrated to specific groups. Plenty of groups are hiring.

Overall good- depends on the office, but ATL and DC are great for healthcare (CDC, military health, etc)

Which groups were doing the layoffs? Also thinking about gps

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

What resources helped you get into product marketing/Google?
Has anyone here moved from advertising to tech?
Would love to hear from a marketer about their experience getting into Google.

Hi
Would love to get your opinion on this-
I am planning on applying to business school this year in round 1 and round 2. I am in india working at D. I have received an offer to work with another big 4 in London as manager with their consulting team starting June. The role is definitely a step up in terms of responsibilities from my current role as a senior consultant. Do you think it might hamper my business school application changing jobs so close to round 1? Have been at D for 4 yrs
