Your agency likely has some sort of standard agreement covering these items.

I think you hold the line with them without getting greedy.
If youre providing the same work, you should get the same pay, period. The rate at which you come in, and who pays for it all depends on what the client needs and what your agency is willing to cover.

If theyre reducing your salary to pay for travel that makes sense.
If they just try to reduce your salary because youre moving, i wouldnt bend
Uncharted territory, still. This is all new and up for new ideas. Good time to evaluate how much you’re worth to them, leverage and negotiate with them.
I got a gig that covers it all. Their reduction in overhead (space, internet, food, etc) more than offsets the infrequent travel costs. HOWEVER, I wouldn’t be surprised if you lost your job suddenly one day as those working remote will be seen as “replaceable” given the global talent pool you’ll be a part of.
A lot of tech companies with a large remote worker population base your salary on where you live.
You might not be the first person to do this at your agency. 🤷🏻♂️ They might already have an outline for how it will go, their expectations on your part, and inform you on their standard procedure. From what my old partner did: Lodging is on you, flights are on them - fly in Monday, fly out Thursday, and a tiny pay re-negotiation.
