Heard recently that Morgan Stanley is planning layoffs soon. Any rumours on JPMC side?

The biggest spot I'm interested in within tech is Fintech (by a good margin), but given the current environment (layoffs), I'm a big worried. Guessing I should be looking at late stage startups / large banks?

The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. Luckily I'm still bringing money in as a software engineer, but I'm looking for advice on how to support a partner who has been laid off. Ultimately I think we will be ok, but I know he's hurting / stressed / and could use a supportive partner.

I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto. The reasons for my dismissal are unclear and I would like to get legal advice on the termination agreement and severance package that was offered. Has anyone experienced a similar situation and can refer a good employment lawyer?

Recently laid off from a top 10 firm in LA after 7 years in PA. I’d been with the firm since college but now not sure whether i want to try and get back to PA or pivot to private or something else. Really trying to figure out my plan but feel so negative towards everything job-related. any suggestions where to begin? I need to find something I semi-enjoy since It’s unlikely I’ll marry a rich husband or win the lottery before my savings runs out.

Needing words of encouragement from people they are in consulting. It took me months of applying for consulting jobs, hundreds of rejections, before I got my first consulting job. I got laid off. Now I am having the same difficulty in finding a job.Rejections from every consulting firm, even firms that are still hiring during these times. Consulting is what I want to do. I did not give up when I was looking for a consulting job. I am not going to give up on consulting. Hope to find another job.

How do you overcome burnout? Me (and my entire team) are just done. Between the lead on the project and client hating EVERYTHING we do, no matter what, it's like why even care anymore?

As the task lead, I try desperately to keep up morale for my team and absorb as much of the negative feedback as I can so the other team members don't see it. But I'm just done. Have to force myself out of bed every morning - wondering if I can call out dead.

I’ve been working as a management consultant for 3 years in London across a range of industries. For the last 1.5 yrs I’ve been internal environmental lead. I created our sustainability strategy, tracked carbon emissions, applied for B Corp, set up company campaigns and currently looking at SBTI. I think I’ve got enough experience to shift to a sustainability consultant role but my company hasn’t set up their sustainability practice yet. Any advice or where to apply? ☺️
