I work at "FairWay Furniture" right out of undergrad I was placed on team X where the salary is 70k and more in line with what I studied in college. About six months in, my org went through a restructure and I was moved to team Y that is more technical and thus makes ~85k. I have been told my salary will not change until my next review 6 months away. I feel that I should be paid according to my team. WWYD and how do I approach this situation? Definitely would not recommend fairWay...

Is very high stress over the staffing process a good enough reason to leave? I’m not the best cold-networker, i’m much better at keeping a network once i’ve actually worked with people. I am constantly anxious and stressed and thinking about when i’ll next roll off, worrying about being let go off the bench and never finding a new role.
Anyone have any advice on whether it’s better to roll over a 401k to a Roth IRA or a new company’s 401k when leaving a company?
Any consultants got their H1b visa this week?
My sister and I are 29 and 31, respectively. I’m struggling with something that has irked me our entire lives. My parents pay for things like her dog’s medical bills, vacations and moving expenses. They always want to help. The problem is they’ve never offered to pay for those things for me, and I’ve never asked because I’m a fully grown adult and don’t want them to spend their retirement on us. She has savings and isn’t struggling financially. Why does this bother me so much?
I’m over my union. Membership isn’t cheap, and I don’t really know what they do. Sorry, I’m a new teacher and don’t have time to dig into this.
I’m 36, earn 100k and I work maybe 30 hours a week, and I’m a shining star. It allows me to enjoy life without stress. I can linger around and see myself (slowly) climbing the ladder. But part of me wants to put in hard work and grow a lot in my career and earn more for a stable financial future, but it means I’ve got to work more and stress more and I’m worried I won’t get time to relax and enjoy my life as before. But also I’m worried I’ll slack off. Anyone going through this? Would I regret?
Hey team need some help - I’ve flown United since I was a child, and naturally I’ve flown with them through and through my consulting career. I just flew on Delta for the first time and it was so much nicer than what I’ve been used to. What’s loyalty like here at Delta - and is it worth status matching and becoming Delta loyal? NYC based if that makes any difference. TIA!!

So I had an interview last Friday for a contract to hire role that I thought went really well. So up until today there wasn’t a peep from the recruiter hiring for role, so I reached out. The recruiter then asked me how comfortable I was in a fast paced environment. I responded by telling her that after working a mix of agency and client side, yes. I honestly thought the answer was pretty self explanatory. She then pushed for more details, which I provided an example of. Red flag?
Reviews on Synpulse? Recruiter reached out for a role... Any information is much appreciated! TIA 🐟
