Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Did you ask for any feedback from HR or the hiring team?
You must be a privileged or inconvenient minority, not the underrepresented minority.
Don't get discouraged. Sometimes it is not about you, but the employer could have interviewed other candidates that could potentially have more experience than you. It happened to me before, they told me they liked me and would consider me in the future, but the other candidate had more experience. Two years later, I applied again, and they remembered it and offered me a position. It is a good sign you made it far, and use it as an option for the future, keep in touch with those people.
Yeah, lots could have happened that are not in your power. They could have decided the role was no longer needed, could have been a internal transfer. Maybe another candidate was referred by upper mgmt and team felt pressured to hire them.
There have been jobs that I’m a 💯 fit and two I was overqualified for and I got turned down. I don’t take it personally. There may have been an internal candidate, or they closed the position, or hiring managers sometimes make bad decisions. This happens quite frequently, don’t take it as a knock on you.
thanks for sharing, this was really helpful 🙏
If you are feeling a little brave, you could try to ask for a feedback. It can be hard to know the reason but it'll help you improve once you decide to re-apply for a new one. You could try asking questions like "did you identify any key qualifications for this job that were missing in my background?".
thanks alot for the advice 🙏
You can ask them if what are your opportunities so you can improve them in your future interviews. Don't be discouraged, it's all part of the experience. I failed more than 7 times before I was able to get the job I wanted. It will make you better. Cheer up.
thanks for the encouragement, really appreciate it 🙏
Happened to me more than once. I was so disheartened as well at first. When it happened again for the second time, I almost lost confidence. But I still believed in myself. Don't lose hope.
I've been in your position. Received feedback from the recruiter that the hiring manager had chosen someone she knew internally. It's a hard pill to swallow especially if you have the right experience for the job and meet all the requirements and have invested time into the interview. These are factors that are out of our control as candidates. Chin up and keep applying else where, sometimes it just wasn't meant for you.
