Not sure why not. It's a Forbes story.

Weird, I've never seen it get higher than $400 or $500 before they stop asking for volunteers and start forcing people off. Lucky people

Lol @ the end of the article suggesting this can be made into a career. I'm curious if anyone reads that article and seriously considers buying flights for the sole purpose of getting potentially bumped.

I am looking to get another credit card, wondering if anyone has any insights into good cards to get. I only have one card right now, which only gives me cash back. Trying to boost my credit score which has hovered around 800 for a year or so now. Is raising my score more even worth it? I’m only 22 and won’t need to get a loan anytime soon. I take my personal finance pretty seriously, have 3+ months rent saved, invest anywhere from $500-$1000 a month, net worth ~30k etc…

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
