Creatives at Google, Facebook, Apple or similar: how did you get an interview? I’m seeing some ADs who got hired there in the past 1/2 months but I don’t ever remember seeing those job listings :(

I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm. I turned the offer down. A partner that I clicked with while interviewing reached out asking me why I turned down the offer. Should I be honest and relay what I heard?

We interviewed a great candidate, extended a verbal offer and she accepted. We sent the written offer a few days ago but she hasn’t opened it or accepted (it’s expiring tomorrow). Have you ever had to follow up? How did you handle it? My company is small with no HR, so I have to handle the hiring myself.

Looking for advice. Based in the Bay Area and have 3.5 yr exp in IT Audit mostly SOX with a little SOC exp (ex big 4, couple of regionals) and have been applying to industry (mostly tech companies) since May. made it to final interviews only to find out hiring freezes were in effect or they went with a LCOL candidate.Would like to exit to a GRC role or a mixed role thats 50% sox, 50% varied projects, or a SOX role if the team culture is good. No luck getting in non sox work at current firm.

I've recieved an offer from Morgan Stanley, my previous salary was around 6 Lpa and last offered was around 15 Lpa (WFH), I quoted 40 to 45% on top of that around 22 Lpa considering Mumbai location, WFO and Glassdoor pay range.
Did I just do a mistake by quoting too high a number? Please let me know your opinions.

Just a shout-out here to Shilling Canning Company in Navy Yard. We had a really nice anniversary dinner there, food was great, service was great, and not crazy expensive. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a nice spot that isn't super buzzy or crowded.

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
