Culture question:

I’m new to Salesforce. My laptop hasn’t allowed me to log in or do any of my work for the last 2 days. I’ve logged a ticket with concierge, but I’m basically dead in the water until my ticket comes up and they troubleshoot.

Is the culture of Salesforce to patiently wait for it to be addressed or is escalation ok? I’ve worked for both types of companies in the past.

I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

Conventional wisdom on current firm counter-offering when mentioning you have a few offers? I have an offer at a large firm in Miami. Current large firm has no office there but mentioned they can likely let me be there in a remote basis. BCG and a few other law blog sites have advised against accepting current firm counter-offers, e.g., likely to leave, not loyal, off partner track, etc., but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
