Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

I interviewed with Firm A months ago and accepted a position to start this upcoming fall. Group leader called me to offer the position back in November 2020. Besides interviewing with partners at the firms, and diligent follow ups notifying them of my interest to get started, no communication has transpired since. It turns out that I accepted a better offer w/ Firm B for personal reasons and won’t be going to Firm A. What is the best way to notify Firm A? Call/email group leader? Call/email HR?

Wish I had better info, but I'm not a parent. I want to say 3 months' paid but I'm spitballing. I know I've had two support staff and two attorneys (one SH, one associate) take six months or more.

I will say Polsinelli tries to do right by female attorneys and we have a major focus on women's initiatives and things like mat leave and flex schedules. Hope you find a great position!
It’s 14 weeks maternity leave with pro rated hours. There is a ramp down/ramp up but last I checked there wasn’t a policy set in stone. Many moms have taken more or come back part time then ramped up to full time.
14 weeks paid. Option to take more unpaid. We have associates and shareholders who take full advantage of it. And we have men who take a full month paid. And most important the leave is respected. People don’t get interrupted.
