Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

There’s a SM I know who was let go this year after a review of his expenses in prep for MD promotion. Word is that he charged a few “dinners” at a couple NYC strip clubs
Fired or managed out? Cuz the latter all it takes is not performing.
That being said - when a downturn comes - and we are due in this industry - trust that every group has their "lists" handy when the culling starts.
Have seen first hand firing due to expense fraud. Other than that you would have to screw up pretty badly I imagine. If you're billable and the clients not complaining then the firm could care less (outside of expense fraud / not playing well with your team)
“Not playing well with your team” sounds like a pretty broad category. Who gets to decide whether this applies to someone? A single manager? Seems like it would be fairly easy to get fired in that case?
More in reference to incidents. So not managed out
Expenses, insider trading and hate crimes. Sometimes for harassment. Takes a LOT to get let go for performance. You'll usually get 2 projects to redeem yourself.
@D1, supposedly there is a 3-yr expense review in prep for promotion to MD or admittance to the partnership. Not sure to what level of detail, but I’d assume they are mostly looking for patterns
SM1, how long ago were those expenses?
Seen firings for expense fraud too. And another one for getting too drunk and vocal at a holiday party
