Currently an AP associate at one of the largest hedge funds on the world. They pay for an MBA most likely Kellogg or Booth. Is it worth staying in corp accounting? Sitting at about two years of experience, one in public and one in AP. I fear that I am limited my exit opportunities and thinking about moving back to a public accounting advisory role. Does anyone have any insight or can ease my fears?

Would love to hear thoughts on best approach of you are a senior associate at V10 firm. Do you just become counsel until they tell you that partnership is not in the cards or do you try to hop to the first partnership (equity, or at least NEP with clear progression to equity if you bring in some business) opportunity at a say V50 firm. I’m not home grown at my current firm, but do have a small book currently.

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner.
