Currently I support 15 in-house attorneys where 10 years ago I supported 3. What type of structure do you have in your companies? Is it 1:1 and support all needs? Is it more siloed and based on tasks? One person does invoices, another collects signatures and scheduling? What ratios do you have? Vary the support based on title? I’m looking for ideas of what works as this is not sustainable.

I work in consulting and support ~10 execs ranging from level and responsibilities. Some I have to act as a project manager for and then others are administrative. It all depends on what their needs are and the relationship.

I'm also in consulting and at one point my highest amount was 25. But it's under 10 now. It does vary by level, where the lowest level people sometimes don't even talk to me for a year, which I'm okay with because that helps balance out the really needy ones. Basically it's a lot of expenses, travel, and scheduling only. I do have a couple of high level executives and they would love for me to do way more than I have time for. But they understand the situation, so it is fine. For those people I do go beyond those big three items, but it's not on a regular basis. Though, one of them is working on a plan to lower my staff count so I can do more for him. As he is in the C-suite it will likely happen, just probably at a snail's pace.

I technically serve the needs of everyone in our organization. I’m the only office assistant. But I only have to answer to the management team.

Hi all!
Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

Mid 2020, I turned down an opportunity to jump ship from my small law firm to a big law firm. At the time I had 4 years of practice under my belt with managerial experience. I thought the offer was reasonable, come in at a 2nd year level, but with the uncertainty of the times I played it safe. Now I regret it. What avenues do I have, if any, to jump into big law from a small firm?

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background? Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

I am in the process of finding administrative assistant interns from our local universities. In an effort to make my job opportunity appealing, I am asking everyone in this bowl about an appropriate job title. Is "Administrative Assistant" outdated or unappealing? I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title. Are there alternative titles that you find more appropriate for 2022?
