Hello fishes what is the variable at js7 ?
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Always nice to get paid more, but you’ve left out all the important details.
How many years are you into your career?
If early, say 1-3 years, then jumping ship to a less prestigious agency at this point might not be a great move. You want to get the best start possible for your career arc and being at a good shop is often the easier way to do it. But if you’re a bit deeper in, with a more established book, then maybe now is a good time to take a salary bump.
Have you already produced good book pieces at your current place?
If yes, then maybe you’ve gotten what you need from an outsider’s perspective.
If no, ask why and wonder if you think it will happen. But then again, no produced work maybe means it’s good to get out because no opportunities.
How long have you been at your current shop?
Is money the only reason why you’d want to leave your current shop?
How much do you like your current shop?
How much do you like your current boss?
How much do you like your current partner?
Would your partner go with you?
If not, do you know who your new partner would be?
What’s your impression of that person?
Just how much of a downgrade is the new place?
Just how good is your current place?
Use two agencies as examples to illustrate the disparity of shops.

The real money comes in a few years. If the “ok” agency isnt going to help you make great work, it could literally cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars in the long run.
It may be tempting, but follow the work, and the good money will come with it. If you want to leave, wait to go somewhere just as good, even if it means you wait a year to add 1 more project to your book
Agencies are as good as the people in them. A place that sucks now may stop sucking when those suckers leave. Do you think you'd be one of the people to potentially elevate it? Better question: what's the CD like, what kind of work have they produced and what quality of work do you think you'll produce under them?
