You should be fine for L5, MBA entry level is 4/5 depending on role and prior experience. If you're in a tier 1 city (SF, NYC,etc.) You'll probably be around $200k all in (150-160k salary, 15% bonus, $20-30k stock per year is taxed like a bonus). Good luck!
...Any insight into what total comp (base, bonus, equity) would be at each level? There’s good data on technical roles out there but not sure it’s transferable to non-technical roles.
I think we’re getting side tracked with if I’m even a candidate for L5 role. Let’s assume I am. Does anyone have insight into the original compensation question?
Perfect! Thanks. Wasn’t sure if the comp was also transferable to non technical roles
G1 - the TC you are mentioning seems low. L5 at google should be at least 250k and closer to 300k is realistic. But that’s for a tech position though. Is Non tech that low
Current L4 in non tech at $125k, ~15% bonus ~$25k stock, assuming a 25% bump for L5 which is closer to $215k. Stock could push you higher and it depends where you get brought in in terms of pay bands (i.e. if L5 makes $200k to $300k, you could get brought in at $300k but would get 1-2% yearly bumps until promotion, whereas if you're brought in at $220k a 10% year end bump could happen every year based on performance). Likely just depends where you're brought in at in the L5 range (new L5 or L5 close to L6)
Consultant won’t translate to a L5 or L6 role, just to be very realistic.
They’ll level you as per interview performance and most likely offer you a L3.
