Dads of 0-3yo children: what’s your mid-term plan to take care of your children? My mother in law has been staying with us to take care of our now 1yo daughter but now that it’s clear we have pandemic for a while, not sure we can ask her to stay with us indefinitely. We are paying for daycare to save our spot but don’t want to send our daughter yet (there’s been outbreaks in some daycares in our area). Thinking also on taking a leave at work. Any thoughts? I work in Florida where the Parental Rights law concerning gender theory and sexuality in k-3 is currently being labeled the "Don't Say Gay Bill". I find it crazy that so many of my liberal coworkers, even in the social studies department haven't even read the bill and are just buying the low wholesale. My ex is oppose to my family member staying in the same house and decided to serve a notice to vacancy. However, I live in CA (community property state), and both of our names are on the title.
