Dads with multiple kids: do you know all your kids birthdates without having to think too hard?
I don't and my wife thinks there are very few like me.

Lol that’s not a good look!

Don’t forget your wife’s and you will still be in OK zone!

like

have two...forget the year but not the dates

like

Have 3 kids and same thing about the date vs year.

Same about my dad too, and the older I get the worse off he is. He’s like 4 years off at this point and assume it will only get worse lol!

The only dates that matter are anniversary and SOs birthday. You’ll score enough brownie points to afford forgetting kids birthdays

like

Yes I do. Without hesitation and I have 4. She is probably right.

like

Honestly, I don’t know my parent’s or sibling’a birthdays. I don’t remember dates well I’d forget my anniversary if it weren’t my phone passcode. I do remember my kid’s birthdays, but it can be a struggle to remember. I also have 5 kids so give me a break.

like

For the 1st and 2nd, I have no issues remembering their birthday. For the 3rd, it takes a second (for some reason my brain questions if it's one day earlier).

like

I do this, too, because I think of when my wife went into labor.

Make their birthdays your iPhone password. Works like a charm in remembering.

like

Depends what you store in your phone.

I have 3 and yes, I know them instantly. I can also probably come with two of their SSNs at any given moment.

like

Bonus round: How many of y’all can give each kid’s full set of clothing sizes? Shirt, pants, shoes, dress, diaper.

funny

Super no.

I remember dates and ages, but I always have to do the math to get birth years

Have 5 kids and I do have to think sometimes on the day and year since they are so close in age.

its normal..I got 5... dont stress yourself out

That’s totally how many guys are wired, but it’s probably something we should all try harder at.

My father to this day can’t always remember our birthdays 😂😂 So it’s a good reminder of how that might make the kids feel.

Yes. Seriously, it’s not hard. At all.

I tend to relate them to other dates that have been wired in for years (other family birthdays etc) - although I can cheat there because my oldest shares a birthday with my sister. Otherwise, there must be an app for this?

An app? Just put a reminder in calendar repeating every year.

I’ve had no issues with my 3. Fortunately 2 of them were born near a major holiday and the other shares a birthday with my mom 🤣 Both my wife and I do forget the year we were married though ...

I do. But my wife can never remember 😂

5 kids; I have to think first

Yes 2

Every night for like the past month I’ve been getting incredibly emotional about adulthood. I miss the lack of responsibility, the simplicity of life, friends were always around, and less pressure to be successful.

I’m 3 years out of college now so it’s not like I just started doing this stuff, but I am feeling the exact same feeling as I did when I first started work and just wanted to be back in college. I know I just need to grow up and accept that’s how life is but it’s incredibly upsetting

Anyone here adopt a puppy during the infertility struggle? Husband and I considering it to have something positive throughout this situation and thinking the extra companionship would be helpful. I work from home. Husband has had many family dogs and lots of experience with it, I’ve had a family cat before. But not sure if it’s actually a good idea - wondering if it would truly help make us feel better and keep our minds off of the struggles or if it would just add extra stress. Thoughts?

Clever ways to get cheaper housing? What's your hack to beat the system?

Married, 2 kids under 3 yrs. Apartment is too small, but we can't afford bigger. Do we rent a 2-story house and split it with another family? Do we stay in our small apartment and get creative with bunk beds and storage solutions?

Originally from Italy, I've been out to anyone at my former jobs in Europe without ever worrying about the reactions of my coworkers. Now I'm Asia and just started a new job, but one of my colleagues (also an expat) made a very weird statement about gay people having more chances of developing cancers (?!?!?), so I feel a bit skeptical about talking about my private life... The problem is that anybody else seems to be so welcoming and open-minded, except for this one guy. Any advices?
