Has anyone been successful in negotiating the schedule on a global pregnancy bill? My provider won't bill by visit and split the global cost into four payments all due by the 28th week. I don't understand how that's legal since it is so off the calendar of services and crosses calendar years (and insurance coverage), where most costs are incurred at the end of pregnancy with increased visit frequency and delivery.

What are some concrete reasons why someone in consulting would be fired, other than the obvious stupid things?

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. My manager says it isn’t my problem as they are a vendor but I can’t help thinking I have an ethical responsibility to do something. Any advice as to how to approach this without being fired?

Anyone struggling with imposter syndrome? When I worked for a very well known Fortune500 tech company I couldn't help but feel major imposter syndrome. One- I am a woman in a male dominated industry, I didn't go to a prestigious school like most of my peers and I just didn't think I deserved to be there. Everyday was a struggle and tried to keep myself small so no one would find out I was a "fraud." Looking back on it now, wiser and more experienced, I realized how detrimental feeling that way

What is the biggest piece of advice you’d give someone starting a new role/joining a new team?

I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company. If anyone knows of places I could apply? I'm not trying to reinvent myself as I do artwork on the side and would rather grow that business and get out of the chaos of fortune 500.

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. Have 3 busy seasons of big4 audit experience and going on 3 years in the finance/ops department of a F75 company. CPA and I’ve always been a top performer. I don’t have any interest in accounting and Primarily work on and enjoy improving processes at my company and am thinking about trying to do some type of process improvement consulting for financial service firms. Does anyone have any insight on this type of career or a similar path?

Anyone know any companies or know of anyone that had no direct experience but was hired as a product manager? I have a background in marketing and some technical skills but I have no product experience. I want to pivot from marketing/operations to a product manager role.

I’m so burned out and not sure what to do. 29 in Texas. I am currently a Deli Manager. My experience is in banking, real estate, shipping and receiving, caregiving and the obvious retail. Unfortunately I struggle getting a job due to a deferred adjudication on my record for theft. It was dismissed but it still pops up I have 4 more years before I can seal the record. Idk what I could do and still make a living.

I’ve been working in finance strategy / transformation consulting for the last two years and would like to pivot into construction project management. Looking to get some insights of if something like this is even feasible or if anyone else has done something similar.

What has your experience been with new job offers and counter offers from current employers? In my opinion, if I’m looking to leave it is because I’m unhappy and excited about the new role I’ve been offered. I’ve never been interested in a counter offer and it seems like it would ruin relationships with both employers. Interested to hear others opinions!
