Does Natwest bank pay as competitive as Morgan Stanley Deutsche Bank. I mean Associate in MS and DB ranges from 20 to 30 lakh. However when I tried applying to Natwest expecting 40% hike (30 lpa) on current pay of 21 lakh. They straightway rejected me and said its not in their budget. Is there any financial firm which can pay as competitive to Mumbai banks. Barclays Deutsche Bank Natwest group BlackRock

I don’t think the item you carry your laptop in is the main thing for you or anyone to focus on.
I imagine the folks you’ll be interacting with will care more about whether they feel heard and understood by you or not.
Depends on the size of the Tote. I mean if she’s really petite thennnn 🥴 😆
I always feel more powerful when I carry mine in a larger tote. I’m a small frame but the book bag personally makes me feel childish. I know that might not be the case but internally it’s how I will so I bought a larger tote/purse and it makes me feel more professional. Which when you feel good you present better.
A lot of people might say this shouldn’t be your focus, but it all adds to the image that you portray! That being said, i would suggest a tote, it’s much more powerful than a backpack.
Are you guys Tote bag sales execs really? 😆
I vote tote 🙋🏻♀️
Use whatever you feel more comfortable with. The boost in confidence will make you look and feel your best.
Tote. Anytime, I carry what I feel comfortable and confident in, everything else falls in place.
BEIS has an excellent work tote https://beistravel.com/products/the-work-tote-in-black-croc
Babe- the most senior people I know carry back packs, it exudes presence the older you are. But a nice back pack- leather or faux leather. Totes are overrated
I am 54 and wear a Tumi backpack (leather). Used to be a tote-carrier but my shoulders have both been surgically repaired (old sports injuries) and a tote is painful even years later. So I use my backpack and don’t give a 💩what anyone thinks. Taking care of my shoulders and back is more important than what Karen or Chad think of my choice.
THANK you.
Tote! Tote!! Tote!!!
Carry it in a Birkin 35 lmao!
But no a tote! It’s an aesthetic considering!
Tote, feels more executive. Bag back seems more younger staff person.
A laptop case especially if the laptop is big, unless it's the kind of tote bag that can protect the laptop! Then that is preferred for me and is also what I generally see.

It should not matter, if you are confident and professional, you can carry your laptop in a plastic shopping bag and should not make a difference.
Exactly, it's industry specific. As with your attire. What works in Consulting, isn't going to be the same as Retail, or Tech. And then from company to company things will also vary. There's no one for all really, other than what you feel best in. Find a version of that and you'll show up with your best presence because you're being your authentic self
Thank you, all!!! I picked a very economical tote and couldn’t believe how good it looked
I'm probably late responding to this but, I still wanted to touch on this. I'm 34 and have been in many different roles already in life, many different aspects to think about, if you're really trying to go deep about it or just take the easy approach which is " just do you", what makes you feel good and what makes you feel comfortable, not too much thought needed. Or You could do what you want based on what you think others might see. (Usually fear based, doesn't feel authentic to self)
Or you can do both, by factoring in a few things:
1) is this the first time your meeting in person
2) how long until the next appearance in person
3) how old is the oldest employee under you. And the youngest, same with employees above you.
4) Do you wear your Title on your sleeve or does the title wear you?
The older people in the work force seems to be stuck on "first impressions setting the stage" aesthetic, where the millennials, younger and/or newer to enter the force focus on "Authenticity and transparency. They want to know and see that you are a human that makes mistakes doesn't see yourself as above them because of title or status, so casually classy. Keep it comfy and true to you whatever that may be. And by doing that, it will make it easy for people to approach you naturally which will keep you feeling confident and the energies with naturally flow. And then that's how people will describe you to others, that makes people naturally willing to engage in anything with you in the future...small steps today make bigger ones tomorrow
If the bag you choose makes you feel some type of way, you could always use it, just don't let it be seen in use (if you know what I mean) ie: use the BP but don't wear it on your back the traditional 'student-esque' way. For examp.
The style of the bag should not matter. Carry the bag that won’t make your back hurt!
I think a tote looks more professional.
