Fishes need suggestions. I have been put on PIP for bad performance. I am being a part of 6 months project and project is about to complete with backend work done. I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

I've been working at my current job for about a year now and I'm finally beginning to understand how the company works.

It's not easy, though. It's a small company, which means there are only a few of us in each department. There is no dedicated training team, so we all have to learn new things on the fly through trial-and-error or by asking our coworkers for help. The management team seems to be pretty hands off when it comes to project management and project direction, so it's up to us engineers to figure out how we want to spend our time and who we want to work with.

I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.
