Hi Fishes
A bit off topic but relevant.
Did anyone hear abt TekFog & Persistent Systems Limited ? Did they develop it ? What's going on ? I wanted to apply (location preference) but am worried now if company is into these sort of unethical activities even more so if they don't even know about it.
Does anyone has any insights into it beyond the company blog post claiming they are not involved. Also how is the work culture there, are these sort things even believable for such company ?
Does anyone at Rutgers know where I can find a flexible part-time job for students on campus? I only found two campus positions on handshake and haven’t heard back from either yet. I feel like there has to be a lot more out there than what I’ve seen on handshake
Something similar to the digital classroom support specialist or tech help desk would be great. I consider myself tech savvy

To my understanding it is Director track and not Principal/Partner track.
Same as a manager level you just do more eminence and less managed revenue
Also true, they will usually be on the director track
I think you still do sales but less than a managers goal
Thanks D1. Is this a IT specific role?
It's the specialist track. I know special is masters in Tech, S&O, and HC
It's in advisory at Deloitte as well. Specialist senior (Sr. Cnslt), specialist master (Mgr), specialist leader (Sr. Mgr)...generally reserved for more technical/specifically skilled resources that don't want to worry as much about sales or revenue metrics. Otherwise nothing notably different as far as I understand
One other difference: there's no "up or out" in the same way on Specialist track. You can spend longer at any given level.
I believe that both management and specialist tracks can end in either Principal or Director, just they specialists tend towards director
Thanks everyone. Very helpful.

@D2: it's a lot harder to get to Principal from the Specialist track. Requires SLL approval and proof you can meet the managed revenue metrics.
Oh I agree, especially since it's much rarer for a specialist to be a good manager. I'm just saying it's possible
