If its highly strategic it would be Monitor Deloitte. Don’t fall for that crap everyone tells you they do strategy consulting to get staff for super boring work these days.
The only teams that do strategy in the big 4 are S&, EYP and Monitor. Other teams that have strategy in their name like Deloitte digital, tech strategy etc don’t do any strategy, don’t fall for it.
You should honestly take what they tell you with a grain of salt. When I joined Deloitte consulting operations I was told as well they mostly did strategic projects and I ended up working only on tech projects. I enjoyed it so I didn’t mind. I’m not saying they didn’t have any strategic project but only a few and my colleagues who worked on those projects were often the bench while I was staffed all the time. They can’t guarantee you will only work on strategic projects.
Well, you seem really knowledgeable about that tv series but you should get your facts right. In my country it has so far only been broadcasted on pay television channels not on public tv. So unless you subscribe to those channels, you didn’t get the chance to watch it. So you shouldn’t assume everybody in the world has watched it 🙄

Lol. “Highly strategic” means for them, not you. And it certainly isn’t referring to the type of work.
When the economy slows, Ops work is what picks up (because our clients shift focus to cost takeout, we can typically run their commodity operational work more cheaply than they can do it themselves).
So if you wanna do process re-engineering and then stand up offshore teams to execute, make your move!
Agree with Accenture 1. If you want to work on strategic projects, join Monitor. Or be prepared to work on a lot of process reengineering projects.
