Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

If this makes you guys feel any better, PwC had 💩 raises this year too. Got promoted to manager and got a 4% raise. Living quite the life here, now I can afford an extra gallon of milk every week, thanks to my awesome raise 🙌🏽
It is absolutely ASTOUNDING that some people don't know when the information is released. It is all over DNet, on like 8 emails we've received about it, and all over FB.
Btw I got 13.9%, advisory, Consultant to senior. Not sure my rating but assumed 1???
Seems like the smart play is do 2 Year BA -> GSAP -> 2 Year SC to Manager promote and leave or go to a competitor to get a level reset.
Someone snitched.. Duck you buddy
Is your calendar broken? Mine doesn't say August 22 yet.
13.8% for 2nd year BA promoting to C, 2 YE rating
2nd year BA promo to C, S&O, 1 rating, 18.8%
Idk my rating (Advisory), but 5%. Meh. Making less than the new hires 😒
3.22% merit raise. YE rating 2. 1st Yr Manager. Not worth it at all. Bye.
All of the raises I'm seeing for M+ are super low. What's the motivation to continue? Some of these raises are comparable if not lower than industry.
Advisory consultant 1st year to 2nd year (no promo) - 15.5%! Higher than I expected
C to SC 1 rating 25.18%
I heard about this app from a very senior leader. They are definitely on.
Does it matter if leadership finds out about the glitch? Not like we are doing anything wrong
Lets make this simple. Consulting doesn't do comp calls and posts compensation statements on 8/22. Other functions have started making comp calls. Other functions won't have comp statements until 9/1. All other benefit pages are being updated and won't be live until sometime in September. On that note, does any one want to fly with me to Australia since it's already closer to 8/22 there?
15% bump consultant to senior but I was crazily underpaid now at 80k
10% with promo from C to SC with a 1. A little let down.
16% bump to M
~11 % 1st year C to 2nd year, 1 rating
C 1st year to 2nd...2 rating...7.1% In the wise words of Babe, "That'll do, Pig. That'll do."
@dd1 i feel like there's a bigger gap between 2/3 and 1/2 though. I don't think it ever makes sense to push for a 1. Ends up being 2-3% difference for way more work.
