Hi DI folks, how were the hikes last year??
Hello, I have an offer from Publicis Sapient for their product management internship program. Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.
I have cleared all the round and now salary discussion part is left in @IQVIA. What is best I can ask for the position of Lead Software Developer. A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
Looking for some book recommendations :)

It's literally the process I mentioned. You talk to your SLL about it, verbally and informally describe why you feel your comp should be higher. You can then get in touch with your Talent manager. Then, when comp is decided, you will formally reviewed by leadership. I have known several people at the SC and M level who did this and had their bases raised between $5-10k beyond what would have been standard for their performance rating.
Just say that then. No member of leadership will tell you you're not supposed to be aware of the general bands at each range. Simply say you were brought in low, feel you have a lot to offer the firm, and would like for your comp to be formally reviewed based on performance and experience. Leadership knows that recruiters get it wrong sometimes and they would rather have you be honest about your frustrations with comp than say nothing and just leave--particularly for high performers.
If you're valued get an offer from outside and ask them to match it.
Also if you think firsts are special, I have some more disappointing news for you.
^I mean does anyone like being challenged?
Everyone frowns on it, but it's proving you're worth that, and creates urgency to act for management. Interested to here what folks from Deloitte and other firms have to say though.
Typo* fml
I've never seen someone mess up hear/here
You're my first and it wasn't very special!!
You will not get a comp raise by talking to SLL or anyone else. I know, I did it. They didn't come back with comp adjustment until I brought another offer, at which point they scrambled to meet, and when I told them it's too late.
I did this recently i.e. came with new offer. They came back with more money. It's the only way to be taken seriously if comp isn't where it should be.
Yes but you need to talk to your SLL and Talent manager. It's a formal process called comp review.
Sure.. Negotiations are always welcome, as long as you are okay with a decrease.
Also D6 is either an idiot or a troll. Your comp will not decrease.
Thank you. I have been told that Deloitte actually frowns upon that. Anyone have any wisdom on that?
Is there a way to edit posts? My type here/hear is killing me.
I think it was the apple keyboard, but I'm not sure.
I understand that it is a formal process called comp review, but where do I come into the process with negotiating a raise higher than whatever goes along with my standard rating?
whats SLL
Got it. P
