No. It sounds high.

You pay more to poach the competition. I think that's the point, right?

160-185k may be entertained. 200k is a stretch

I've seen lateral managers come on at $205k recently for M&A

Nope. Good luck

Way too high for a M

Yes! Reasonable. Let me tell you something.. don't compare existing salaries.. compare with people who have recently switched to another firm.. or even yours for that matter. A high number is often bait to get you in.. but depending on when you switched (think year end process cycle) you might not get a raise for 1yr+ and it will all even out by then.

I know experienced managers - M3 and beyond who average 200-220K depending on where you are currently.

Especially with MBA going to strategy or M&A

D3 - reading again.. I can see that first part might have been confusing. I meant to say.. compare your prospective salary with ones who have recently switched within the big 4s - that's where the trend lies. Don't compare prospective salary with what an experienced manager has been making while at the firm for 2-3+ years.

Yes part of it.

200 is too high. Around 170 sounds reasonable. Kudos to you if you can get 200

200 is close to impossible. At that salary & level of exp, you shud actually negotiate for Sr Mgr position.

I’m working in analytics with some currently in Python and R, and some AWS exposure with the cloud fundamentals cert (which doesn’t mean much I know 😂) and would be looking for a similar data-focussed role.

If anyone knows of any open roles and would be happy to do a referral etc then please also let me know.

Thanks 😊

I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
