Delta still rocking the dot matrix in 2019

My LM is so keen on small small things, not related to coding but documentation and all. Atleast once in a week I'm committing mistakes on small documentation points n he is stressing on same. Are there any chances that my probation will not be extended or is it a clue for me from my LM. He is Looping his LM and asking questions/clarifications.
Should I ask him directly or can be ignored or need to try outside. Please suggest Barclays

Basically all airlines do this for pilot briefings / dispatch info. Not exactly sure the reason but I think a combo of: reliability, keeps all the pages together, very high switching costs with minimal benefit

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
They are also all on mainframe.
This is actually the FAA’s fault. I don’t know all the technical details but the underlying ATC system which is a key input into flight manifests is run on a mainframe and hence can only produce paper outputs (i.e., delta couldn’t have flight manifests on iPads even if they wanted). Agree it could be on conventional paper not dot matrix, but for continuity and switching cost reasons outlined above all airlines still use dot matrix.
FAA has been requesting funding for a Next Gen ATC system for years but Congress has never appropriated.
I don’t think that’s accurate. The only data the FAA needs is the flight plan information, which is electronically transmitted and doesn’t require any paper. And the information the FAA sends to airlines — ATC clearances, weather information, NOTAMs, etc — is also electronically transmitted. A lot of it is maintained in text format...but so are all my emails.
They got a deal on paper in the 80’s
Every airline still uses dot matrix.
