My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)

First, ask yourself what YOU want in this role. You are also interviewing them-not just them seeing you. Know your worth and what you want out of this role or else you will be miserable.
Ask them things like “what type of projects will I be working on?” “What is your budget to bring on a new hire?” “What is the culture at this firm and if I need guidance, who will be providing me mentorship or feedback?”
What are you actually looking for in a new role, are you looking for better pay? Benefits? More mentorship? What about your pay? You need to “date” around to see what best fits you.
What is going to make you valuable there and what skills make you stand out from the rest?
Ask if you could speak with some of the employees there or maybe connect with people on LinkedIn that work in the firms you are interested in.
I would write down all the places of interest and ask yourself why you want to work in these places and be confident at what you bring to the table. Hope this helps!
Before going into your interview, be sure to do your own research on the firm, the work they do, and the clients they have. Develop some questions around the work they do, challenges with certain projects you find interesting in their portfolio, etc.
For the interview, be sure to have your own questions/concerns about working in their office or firm environment, understand the structure and what your responsibilities and day to day will look like, who you'll work under, things like that to see if it will be a fit for your own goals and ambitions.
It's a two way street and if you go in, just answer their questions, and don't have any about them to make sure they are a fit for you as much as you are a fit for them, you do yourself a disservice if you get blindsided once hired about what you'll be doing or work you'll be apart of. Best of luck!!
