Did you have trouble balancing between chasing better work/agencies and finding peace where you were at when you were new? I’ve been freelancing (at some great places) since ad school got out in March 2020 but am completely run ragged from the constant 24/7 job hunt and financial insecurity. Nothing really consistent. Just took an FT role at a small shop, hoping it’ll free some headspace but can’t let my mind rest. Still so obsessive about getting into a great place FT. Can’t turn it off.

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago.
