How is the WLB in UST Global
Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

Bartlit Beck is one of the most competitive firms in the country and not exactly known for work/life balance. If I were you, I'd go in house or maybe explore mid law.
Just as a data point I worked at a firm where billing was less of a thing because of the work (plaintiffs side) - most hours I ever worked and more intense hours. In some ways it was great because of the experience but just cause you’re not billing at a lot boutique does not automatically make it better

so you want to be in denver. pretty sure the selectivity for the latter two is night and day with faegre drinker.

this is a very weird post in terms of the firms youre comparing. either youre credentialed and its pretty obvious if youre competitive for lit boutiques or youre not.
Friend at Faegre hates it

Heard same about the northern NJ office but transactional/RE group all male group, no support, condescending and toxic environment.
Depends on the office for Faegre. I liked it when I was there.
I was in Indy and liked it. It also can depend on what group you're in. Since I left, there have been some changes in management, so things might have changed. We merged with Drinker right before Covid, and the entire time I was there, it seemed like we were still 2 different firms. That's just my opinion. I worked with lots of people in different firms, and sometimes it was light night and day.
I’m at Faegre Drinker and there’s a lot to like about it, although like any firm it come with it’s share of things that aren’t exactly as I’d like and your experience can very especially at some I’d the smaller offices. But the overall firm culture is great, the direction/prospects good, and the ability to find a “sustainable” practice better than average. In my market and practice area, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Those other intense boutiques are a different animal. So part of this, you need to decide what you want. Barlit Beck and Wheeler Trigg are definitely not WLB places.
Thanks! Faegre sounds like what I’m looking for
Friend at Wheeler loves it
That sounds great. Wonder how that compares to the other 2.

Bartlit Beck is arguably the most selective lit boutique in the country (typically only hire SCOTUS clerks or clerks from feeder judges). I guarantee it is not fewer hours than a typical biglaw firm given their trial practice. Wheeler Trigg has fairly high turnover but some people thrive there. Not known as much of a lifestyle firm, however, and the expectation is to bill 2000 (or more). Comes with the territory when you go to trial a lot. Wheeler will give you more substantive experience but much of that may come from insurance defense cases or med mal cases, at least at the beginning of your time there.
A9 you’re a hero
Op, did you end up at faegre?
Unfortunately I don’t! Just looking for intel like you
