Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

Unlimited PTO is honestly not that great unless you truly take a lot of time off. Most companies do it so they don’t have the liability of owing employees PTO money when they leave. Do you take more than 3 weeks off each year right now? That’s about normal PTO for most companies.
It depends on your manager too. My VP told everyone on our team to take a full week off every quarter and pepper in a day off here and there for the other months so we all take five to six weeks off by the end of the year. That’s taking into account the extra holidays and long weekends the company gives.
I really appreciate that type of commitment and push to make sure we get to take advantage of unlimited PTO, especially after this last year. It makes a huge difference.
So your hate your job and it’s impacting your mental health but you don’t want to leave you have flexible time off / unlimited PTO. If you’re unable to use this time off to feel good and protect your mental health, there’s not really much point in that unlimited PTO plan, no?
No job is worth a mental breakdown. Can you take some time off to recuperate?
