Do companies who are overstaffed keep making interviews or do they stop? With all the doom I have been reading, I am beginning to think my upcoming interviews with T2 firms are not going to amount to much 😅

Because most of my work and experience has been in freelance. I’m having a hard time figuring out what my work experience translates to in a Salary position. Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Accepting an offer in IBD, lateraling over from consulting. Opportunity of a lifetime for me so don’t want to lose it.
But timing is horrible. I joined the Army Reserves before this opportunity was on my radar. Interviewed over several months, got the offer, but shipping out in 1 month for training for 6 months.
Do I irreversibly shoot my career by joining and immediately going on LoA? I obviously haven’t mentioned it in the interview process. Or will this be forgotten a couple years in?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Just graduated with Aerospace Engineering degree. I am interviewing for multiple positions at once with different companies. One gave me an offer and they want me to get back to them within 2 days. I still have other interviews scheduled and some for higher paying jobs (around 90k) What should I do?
I do like the company that gave me an offer but their base pay was 80k and they went up to 85k. Is asking for them to match the 90k too much? The position is associate systems engineer.

My manager knows that everything I've worked w her on I end up doing 90% of the work when it's meant to be split so it is a known issue. We're both at level 3 so are genuinely peers.
