No! You have the leverage right now, negotiating while you’re employed gives you the best negotiating position
Hell no! Hold tight. Accept the job contingent on the package
No
No!!!!!!!!!
No - negotiate for what you want. The worst they can do is say no. Ask for the vacation you want since companies can wiggle on that easier than more money.
Nope. Hash it out now!
Hell to the no.
Money/Salary is the most important upfront - how do you expect to pay for vacations? But every job has wiggle room (depending upon role), but with great planning, even exec. level staff can go on 2-week vacay.
Ok! Jeez you guys are passionate about benefit negotiation.
While I have you: I have a remote contract position currently that Idk how long it'll last that pays 250% more than this full time position.
Do you have any suggestion on if I should go for the safe $21 an hour full-time or the $45 an hour freelance?
150% more*
Naw
Accept it verbally. Negotiate on paper. If it’s not written down it never happened. Trust me.
