Hello 🐟🎏
When will be the retention bonus will be paid if a candidate joined TCS in the middle of the financial year. I.e September'22... Will that be paid on next year's September'23 Month only after completing an year in TCS?
And will the Retention bonus will also be considered as taxable income of the the current year taxes(2022-23)?
Looking for valuable suggestions!!!

Essentially everyone starts at the same level with the same pay. But people with advanced degrees or work experience might be able to translate that into a faster promotion depending on their performance. Also, exit opportunities can be exceptional after adding MBB to some top tier law, medical, or academic background
This is a classic mistake that people make. For your own sanity, it's better to start at the bottom and have more of a ramp to learn. Starting at the MBA level and getting paid 200K+ should be good enough
How is it a mistake if it's a question? Are you implying that it does actually happen in practice that non-consulting laterals start at higher pay/level than fresh post-MBAs?

Of course not. It's a totally different field.
I have had offers in different fields that do give extra credit (or sometimes extra pay without extra seniority). So it's not very 'of course not'.
Doubtful. You might be able to negotiate some credit (maybe up to 6 months), depending on the office you have an offer from. If it is a big office (NYC, Boston, Chicago, SF, etc), then its pretty unlikely.
Very rarely. It’s a different job! You might be able to go faster contingent on performance, but you’ll probably be as green and inefficient as anyone else new to the job. So we usually start you off at the post MBA entry level
Coming in at a higher level can also hurt you if you don’t have the right experience. A third year post MBA consultant is usually managing partners, clients, and 3-5 person teams very closely. It’s rare that a doctor or lawyer with the same YOE has had that type of experience - and then had it in an MBB environment, which adds a new layer of complication
