Do PwC and Deloitte have a tax group that focus on ASC 740 provision only?

Anyone in VFLS (Valuation, Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support) that can tell me the type of work, typical hours/week, WLB, if there are busy seasons, what the culture is like, including if it’s high/low pressure environment, growth trajectory, or any other useful information?

This is in regards with my resignation. I have resigned on 22nd March (LWD : 22 June ) on medical grounds. Since then, my hr has asked for my prescriptions and medical certificates to give me an early release.

But yesterday, She is stating that my lwd is revised to 18th April with a clause that since my release is on medical grounds I can't join any other orgs before 22june. If joined, there will be problem in background verification.

Do you all see a compelling future in your tax career? I’ll go first, I don’t see a compelling future working for a large PA firm in the long run because you have to work more as you move up. However, I do see a compelling future by using my knowledge and skills to open my own firm/business and work less hours as long as I make enough money which is $75k, or if I do work long hours, it’s because I want to.

I’m having trouble working in Tax. I’m overwhelmed and am feeling like I’m not producing my best work. I want to talk to someone at work about it but a) I don’t know who to go to and b) feel like it’s not worth it because there’s nothing that anyone can do but tell me to get a different job. Are there any tax professionals in the Lancaster, PA area that are looking to leave public?
