In the short term, all you can do is say that you cannot commit under current circumstances because you're overcommitted as it is. Be sure to say it in writing too, alongside text explaining that you have 3 other projects. Strike a helpful tone by saying you could help the new engagement if and only if you are backfilled on other work. 2 projects is a stretch, but 4 is ridiculous, especially at the SC level. You seem to be a high performer, so reach out to 1-2 higher up people you trust to ask for guidance on how and to who to say no.
For your mental health, investigate taking FMLA to recuperate. H1b workers have the same FMLA rights as citizens. https://www.fmlainsights.com/are-foreign-nationals-on-h-1b-work-visas-eligible-for-fmla-leave/
Probably. Call the HR helpline and ask them what the requirements are.
Your PML should also be an advocate for you in general. I would setup a call with him/her to explain the situation and ask for their perspective.
Remember this- the promotion will be a blip in your career. The burnout and mental damage to yourself maybe permanent. Name and shame the firm too.

OP implied this is KPMG. Shameful to treat someone like this.
You need to report to HR after consulting with an attorney. This is a horrible type of workplace harassment and mental abuse.
This thread & the responses are so insightful that I’m bookmarking it.

Promotions are a dime a dozen. And a result of tenure more than ability at 99.999% of places. Take care of yourself. This is someone else’s problem. Are you chained to this job? If not, I’d bounce. Or at least threaten fo
Call the practice lead and ask him who is taking over your other 3 projects on Monday as well.
Boy I feel sorry for the op.. but imagining this scenario where an over worked employee opens up a can of whoop-ass to senior management and tells them to find someone else to exploit is giving me vicarious satisfaction. :)
In all seriousness, I hope op finds a way out of this tricky situation in a way that doesn't damage him/her. Giving your 140% to work is no joke!
Engagement kicks off on Monday and I need to be prepared to lead it.
I have GAD and have been hospitalized for a while and I'm positive that this additional workload would break me down.
I want to get promoted but not at the risk of my health? What should I do? Because I genuinely think him and his team dgaf
Absolutely D1. The either message to advance is that GAD is a serious disorder. What people don’t understand is that it can cause serious degeneration to the nervous system which can take years (decades) for your body to repair. Don’t be afraid to bring in the big guns (attorney); and don’t be affraid to walk away. If you were laid off you would find another job within 3 months tops
Health is wealth!!
Do you bill actual hours on timesheet.. start doing that .. the HR will directly contact your management
This is eye opening.......
