In my current role absolutely not. An EA with 15 years experience should be making over 100k plus bonus. My current company is paying me 63k. Needless to say I’m looking elsewhere.
A legit EA is $100k base these days with proper benefits and a bonus on top. But that’s for a legit experienced EA, not a newbie. It takes some time to learn and earn up to it.
And only in certain locations and certain industries. An EA working for a non-prrofit in Oklahoma is not going to make the same as an EA working for a Tech firm in San Francisco.
Yes.
However, I am in a high cost of living area and work in Biotech. Salaries for my location and industry are usually pretty fair.

Yes and no. I do think I deserve a bit more for what I do. Currently one of the executives I work with is also trying to get more out of me and I've put my foot down that I will not be taking on extra duties if the compensation does not align. That being said I still get notifications of job openings in my area, and the offers are on a downward trajectory. I think it would be a long process to be able to find a position for more pay. For example, I am in a major US city, not one of the super HCOL, but not a low one either. Four years ago when I was looking for a job the majority of them were offering around 70-80k. I currently make over 100k plus bonuses. A lot of the jobs I'm seeing are now in the 55-70K range. It's actually quite depressing when I see that. There are still the ones that are going to be higher, but the ones over 100k are very few and far between and are often combining roles like being a team lead or office manager as well. The ones I am seeing with the higher ranges I've also been seeing for about a year, so I honestly don't think they're real job openings.
You hit it on the head exactly with your reply. I have been job searching for almost 2 years and I'm ready to call it quits. It is extremely challenging and frustrating and the salaries are much lower than 2 years ago!
Ha! I absolutely do not feel well compensated or that I’m compensated fairly. I have to do a lot of demeaning tasks and always be available. I feel like I should be earning a lot more.
dare I say your company was one of them using contracts via agencies. What a shame is the pay isn't that good but only wish it wasnt a contract here in Malaysia
I saw a job opening today that I felt was perfect for me, but the hourly pay was $19/hr, which is barely minimum wage for NYC (it's a remote position in Georgia, where the minimum wage is $7.25/hr).
Definitely not. I live in a high cost of living areawith over 10 years of experience in the admin profession. I am also looking.
Absolutely not. We were just sent a survey link from HR to rate to our employee experience and I made sure my voice was heard
