Do you guys actually work hard during your final two weeks after giving notice? It’s so awkward and uncomfortable.I almost wish I could have just logged off on a Friday and never come back instead of dragging out this corporate funeral.

I've been at places where they try to work you twice as hard during the last two weeks because a) they don't care about you anymore, and b) they want to wring out every last ounce of work they can from you, which usually includes completing critical project features, documentation and knowledge transfers. Now that I'm older I don't let them push me around like that anymore. When I put in my notice at my last job I basically told them what I was willing to do. I also stopped showing up to a lot of meetings. Let's just say my last 2 weeks were pretty light.

Your job isn't to work hard during that period, it's to hand off everything you own as best as you can. The time is better spent documenting the systems you know best (or, often, only you know).

On a personal level, make connections and leave letting people know you're a nice person. Not for the company so much as the people, for future referrals.... Cause they'll eventually leave and be employees and managers somewhere else, and it might be a place you'll want to work.

Every time I've given notice I'm immediately unfocused and it's suddenly a joy to go to work, cause you just don't care like you did in the past.

I’ve always been let go immediately upon giving my two weeks 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wouldnt it be mostly cleanup of loose ends and speak with your manager for any little projects?

Most of the time companies realize this and they purposely try to wind you down and they assign limited tasks to you. However, if the company feels that you will be a risk to their software or to low moral, then they will fire you on the spot after you tell them. I would also say they will want you to spend time writing out documentation for the next person. However, if they are swarming you with work in your past 2 weeks, then that means you were always just a number to them. It's best not to burn bridges but even with 2 weeks notice or a month notice the company never forgets and you become a record in a folder in HR's desk which will pass onto each next HR person they hire.

Depends on how hard you worked to build relations during your stay there
If you were an a ** then most likely they will take advantage of you at the end of the

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)

Hello!

I joined Accenture 5 months back as a lateral hire ( Level 11 ) and have been a part of a project since day one.

I am not enjoying my work here, no motivation at all. Dreaded to report to work and having stress and anxiety. My manager is trying to micromanage me as productivity is on the lower side.

Another thing is, I have started to dislike my current tech and no more interested in it.
What are my options here ?
Is project release possible ?
or I have to put down papers ?

Why are people so hesitant to hire disabled candidates?

I am a visually impaired practitioner in South Africa, with 7 years of experience, and as soon as recruiters or business owners hear/read that I'm disabled, the conversation gets awkward and I never hear from them again.

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.
