How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

No. But I google everyone’s home, salary range on Glassdoor and other apps , if they owned companies, Homes or other investments how much they sold them for, I even try and figure out what type of honors they graduated with and if they have student loans. I am a petty striver like that .

And do you draw conclusions on how good of a friend they can be from all that? Sounds strange
Thanks OP, I thought I was the weird Indian who didn’t enjoy that but I am in good company 😊
Only my Indian friends ask or try to judge based on my lifestyle. I am Indian btw
White guy here with more Indian friends than most white guys probably have, and this has never come up. Maybe it’s an intra-Indian thing?
Only within the brown community
Nope. That would be extremely rude and cause for me to wonder why we’re friends.
Indian here and agree it’s a brown thing
No. Go find some real friends.

My mom's hairdresser asked my mom about my salary in order to compare it to her kids 😂😂
Agree on the Indian part (I’m one of them, before you come with pitchforks at me)
But it’s really weird. I know a dude , who whines about mortgage , whines about his kids expenses , never travels for fun and is always on about how expensive things are ( . But he is super happy about how much more he makes 🙄
I love fb when so many life puzzles get undone 🤣 One of my good friends cribs a lot about his expenses but I guess that’s his way of showing how much he makes!
I'm Indian, and its definitely an Indian thing but I find it tacky. Like do you not have anything else to offer besides the money you make?
Who cares? If someone asks. I tell them.
No.

No
Literally never
Can’t they just find out on Glassdoor if they know your firm and level?
Chief
Glassdoor is drastically off in many cases
Yeah the insecure ones
Chief
No. Never ever.
One of my friend does but he’s also a elementary teacher 😆
No but I do 😚
Yes been on both sides - got asked and they feel good about how much they make. Also when I changed jobs they started getting jealous of how much more I make vs them and everyone started asking me to buy them dinners
