Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Have been applying and had some interviews at larger shops but nothing has come of it. I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto. The reasons for my dismissal are unclear and I would like to get legal advice on the termination agreement and severance package that was offered. Has anyone experienced a similar situation and can refer a good employment lawyer?

Is it just me or do 90% of the jobs being laid off by big tech sound made up? Many job descriptions with multiple bullet points that all kinda revolve around the same idea. One of my buddies works for a big IT company and literally just sits on meetings all day. No one really contributing to anything other than agreeing to whatever the speaker is saying. Are these kind of jobs finally being exposed? Six figure employees getting paid to sit and bounce ideas off each other?

Does EY GDS and EY Global have separate sets of clients or does GDS aide Global in its operations ? I have an SAP offer from GDS but worried if I'll actually get any direct client exposure.

Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

Help - how do I fight claims by scammer healthcare providers?

I recently went to 2 different providers.

Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars.

Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.

So this might be a better place to post this and ask this question: Uncle D has announced explicitly that most people won’t get a pay raise & bonus this year except for those promoted and high performers. Amid this crisis, are companies including other big 3, MBB, FAANG, boutique consulting firms still giving high raises and issue stocks? Can you share the impact from your firm?
