What’s your dress code these days?

Larsen & Toubro Infotech Hi Folks, I have recently joined LTI. I have received my first month salary but not the joining bonus with that. Also, the recruiter and HR people are not replying on the mail or the ticket. If anyone has any idea when and how LTI provide the joining bonus. #LTI Larsen & Toubro Infotech

I was in HR and operations. I was able to use this experience to snag a CEO role, leading a non-profit. Anything is possible. Stay open.
Honestly, I think about this a lot too. Some days it’s easy to picture a long-term path in HR, maybe in a strategic HRBP or Head of People role. Other days it’s hard to imagine doing this in ten years. You’re not thinking too far ahead; wondering about longevity is pretty normal when the work is emotional, political, and constantly changing. Right now, instead of having a perfectly defined “end goal,” I’m just using what I enjoy (coaching managers, building better processes, fixing broken experiences) as a loose compass and staying open
In the age of AI and automation, you will want to create your own brand and side hustle. Something that you have high interest in and that you can build a business out of at some point. Everyone needs a second income these days because layoffs are inevitable and rampant these days. Build your career up and grow and learn everything about it if you’re passionate about it it will only lead to good things. But make sure you’re always working on that thing that you think about in your free time if it’s not about your current job some people aspire to become a CHRO one day or a CPO and that’s still very possible Into that I say network with your senior leadership and ask how you can progress in your company and in your career. Good luck stay positive and keep going!
I am right there with you. I have been looking to transition out but can't seem to find anything. The job market is awful right now.
Go as long as you can without getting fired

I have been in HR for over 30 years. A lot of ups and downs with the career. I love working with people.
Most of my career has been in manufacturing. My current role is a non-profit organization. I find this job ore fulfilling and I wished I had found it sooner. I plan to retire here in 5 - 10 years.
That’s OK! I think we are going through that constant wonder. I’ve had like literally six or seven different career moves and different industries fields before I decided human resources was what I was really, really wanting to do. I encourage people to maneuver to find different careers that might align with your goals. You never know what you might find out. Honestly, especially depending on if you are on the younger side as well we have options and let alone different avenues to take and the gift part about it. If you don’t feel comfortable doing something you feel like this is home. You can always come back. don’t put yourself in a box but literally you might end up finding something worthwhile and spiritually enjoy it.
The message I’m conveying is in 10 years from now. I don’t want you to wonder what if ?🙂
You’re not ahead, you’re just honest. Careers aren’t marriage contracts. If you don’t see HR in your distant future, you’re allowed to make that decision that’s fine. Explore other angles while you’re still lucid enough to ask the question.
I was laid off a couple of months ago from a company I was at for 9 years and was “going to retire from” (I’m 61 years old).
After 36 years in HR/payroll, I am done!I’m looking for a role (most likely office admin) where I can leave at 5:00 and not think about work until I arrive the next day.
