I post my projects that are good. So then other people will think I am good and want to pay me good money.
Here’s a helpful flow chart I use:
Should I post this to LinkedIn?

NO.
I hate posting on LinkedIn tbh. I rather just use it for private dms and opportunities
Chief
LinkedIn. Where even eating a pizza becomes an act of inspiration and fearless leadership
This is not about the pizza. It’s a humble brag about the office view.
Rising Star
As I and the people I came up with in the industry have gotten more senior, I've seen many of them start posting on LinkedIn. As if it's some.l sort of right of passage into leadership positions. Like, you have to have an opinion and you have to share it with people or you're not a real CD, VP, GAD, whatever...
They make me cringe. I don't want to be like them, so I don't post.
I think it’s okay if you’re an ECD somewhere and you’re posting constantly to announce the work your agency has done or when they win an award. That’s different than like an intern who graduated ad school a month ago posting copywriting “advice” every day
No but I’m counting down the days until I start my new dream job so I can post as a big F you to my previous boss lol
THIS 👆👏🏻
LinkedIn is just Facebook circa the good ol’ days.
If you know you know. The era where you needed a .edu to join
I cant stand most linkedin content but I post all my work and interests on their regularly and its gotten me a ton of opportunities. Very much a love/hate relationship with that platform.
You can be authentic and share things that you learned, might teach someone else, or are entertaining. Also career milestones, etc. The people that got opportunities from their LinkedIn likely have a content strategy, as any marketer/social media person might say. But you should not be afraid to share what u find interesting if you're comfortable with it! 💜
I never, ever post content on LinkedIn. I only allow LinkedIn to auto-post my new roles so I can have people who’ve ignored me for years suddenly ask me if I could hook them up.
What was Droga5 like?
I try to comment. People care about engagement
I don’t post but damn I got great opportunities on LinkedIn . To post or not to post? It depends how much you want to be a public figure. The goal in posting is to get fire and get known. Not everyone wants that or doesn’t need to go that route to succeed.
i like to use linkedin to promote my projects and occasionally wish ppl a happy monday or friday because i think it’s funny
You don't have to post... Even just commenting on people's posts here and there will help make your profile reach a bigger audience and get these opportunities
Same as above!
All go to LinkedIn to see is people embarrass themselves.
I just feel incredibly cringe posting there, I share fun work and update my career and that’s about it!
I will comment and share job opps for my network but don’t do much else
Might post if I’ve done cool stuff for portfolio… probably not today lol
