I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment

I do think sometimes in our industry it can be best to apply in person. I have actually landed several roles because I went in to apply. It doesn't hurt to apply online but walking in if you can is probably best.
I personally prefer online, I am so shy but I have seen jobs posted on job boards that want you to bring them in. I would try going in if they are smaller companies. I worked for a corporation that was such a jerk. People would come in and be dressed nice with their resumes, and the manager would be like you have to apply online, sorry and basically walk off. Yeah, it wasn't a good place to work lol.

Online for sure. Not only does it save time, but it leaves a paper trail. They have an electronic copy, as opposed to a paper copy that could get lost.
