Do you think big cities will shrink - NYC etc? With home office and people moving to South(Texas, Florida etc?). Are we back to the 70s and 80s with violence and exodus?

I'm trying to buy a bigger than normal whiteboard for my home office: any recommendations?

1099 or w-2 ? I have been given the option though the company prefers w-2. It’s a day rate booking couple of months or more (no end date). I already have 1099 from similar company this year and am leaning towards 1099, but I don’t want to be difficult. I do take home office deduction and they are not supplying any equipment. My wife and I just had our second child, and we have also been dealing with her cervical cancer diagnosis. It has been a stressful year, to say the least. I want to do something nice for her, but money is tight right now because of the cancer treatment costs, and her being on unpaid leave because of the cancer treatments.
