Alone? Yes. With a family? Much harder.
So doable. But if you wanna live alone you’ll probably need to live on the outskirts. Downtown rentals are hiiiigh
One bedroom will be like $2500 on average, you could get cheaper but honestly I’ve seen that being the bare minimum recently (and some closer to $2800).
Totally doable
Alone should be ok, family might be a little difficult
Which area in Vancouver?
Everyone saying totally doable isn’t thinking of prominent areas of Vancouver.
If you want to OWN in Kits, MP, OV, or anywhere on the west side, $135K isn’t sufficient in today’s economic climate.
You need $4-5K/month on housing (inclusive of strata, property taxes, insurance, etc)
Then another 2-3K on living costs including car, grocery, M&E.
That’s $80-90K post-tax, factoring in savings and other costs, that’s likely 180+
Renting you should be ok.

yep, it’s becoming increasingly difficult but it’s better than 95K. I’d say identify opportunities and climb up
Out of curiosity, what is the average salary in Vancouver. I know I can look it up online but I don’t know how accurate it really is because, can people be putting that much % of their income into housing?
Likely $70K a year.
