If you start playing with the AI agents you realize how good it is to understand the pm process in depth. You can use these skills to prompt AI and it will make you more effective at building products without a large engineering team. You will be surprised what you can make just by yourself prompting AI. Get to work learning these different systems, play around with and become a better builder in the process. That will guarantee you a job or better yet build your own revenue generating products on the side.
From my pov, it will increase the demand of PM. The AI will affect the technical side as it will be able to do these tasks effectively than humans. The point is that still AI can't decide what to build and collaborate across different teams and stackholders. The bottom line, The PMs should focus on how to use the current tools to leverage their skills
I think there will be less demand overall, but the role won’t go to 0 completely. PM’s can do more with less as AI develops, but humans are still needed in the process IMO
Same
PM in the future will wear multiple hats as their work demands.
I think it’s already leading to a boom in demand for people who know the technology and its challenges.
