Pre. But the MFers at the restaurant last night got me and I tipped on the amount post. Which is BS.
It makes a difference when the bill is $750
But you're honest. That's a big plus.
I don’t mind tipping on the taxes and fees, but I hate when I purchase additional items at a place that provided a service and they don’t separate the extra items from the tip line. Example: buying a container of hair gel after a hair cut. Example 2: buying to-go beers at a brewery after drinking a couple. In these scenarios, the additional items cost almost as much, or more than, as the actual service item.
I can’t believe this is really a thing. Leave a good tip on the pre or post amount, it’s really not a big difference. Like even if pre tax amount is $100 and post tax amount is $108, the difference with a 20% tip is $1.60, nobody gives a shi+
Doesn’t matter. It’s not the big of a difference
To make it easy on myself I double the final bill and divide by 10 as a general rule but I are at a restaurant today where the final bill was $86 and I left a $20 bill for the tip. People are way overthinking this.
