Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

This is not true based off of friends at FB. I would definitely try to find a veteran recruiter.
Thanks. So far I haven’t found a veteran specific recruiter there, but I’ll ask.
Boo facebook. That’s lame. Good luck OP.
Yeah 100% not true. They have a strong Vets@FB group the advocates for hiring and internal development of veterans and there are some fairly senior veterans in the org. Coordinators are typically fairly early career and don’t have a ton of context and are likely going off of a strict reading of what are supposed to be example indicators of candidates having the right experience. Connect with vets you know there and ask for a referral so they’ll point you to the right team. Their data center group has hired a TON of vets if that sort of thing is interesting to you.
That being said, I’m making an assumption here that you actually lead troops and weren’t like a contracting officer with no directs and reporting to a civilian as your manager (nothing wrong with that if it’s the case, I’d just understand why they might not credit that)
Probably because they think masculinity is toxic. I miss leading a platoon
They dont count hardcore people leadership leadership in the military as people leadership experience? Wtf?
