I do them all the time! Best decision of my life! I don’t do them 100% of time, but I’m able to rotate kids through different ideas, concepts, practice. They have learning path menus by standard!
All students are grouped on a standards mastery pretest. Based on their needs for that skill they are assigned a pathway to learn, practice, apply and assess the standard.
I usually do them on Friday’s. I love that I can work with a small group to reinforce the weeks skills and spiral them through other skills at other stations!
One way that I use utilize stations is: one group is receiving small group instruction with me on the topic of the day, another group is completing an online assessment and one group is completing a task/ assignment on the topic.
