When is the Deloitte Tax comp call?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I am pretty interested in Deliotte consulting. Any tips on securing interviews for the company

I can refer you.
Which one is it? Phoenix or Orlando or Mechanisburg. I assume you are in Tech. Resources working from these locations will get allocated to more than one project based on the solution that needs to be developed and skills you have
I work on Oracle Cloud HCM. I loved where I am currently working but they want me to travel more than I want to. I am considering a switch just to get on a reduced travel schedule. I have been in touch with traditional Deloitte Consulting too but it obviously isnt a good fit since they require 80% travel
It is a typical 9-5 job. You won’t be traveling frequently and would be working from your office
OP, don’t join D-USDC, unless you wana ruin your life...
Delivery center is fine if that’s what you want. It isn’t meant to be client facing. The goal is to have team sitting in US time zone for large scale transformation. Only if necessary you travel to client location occasionally. Cloud is hiring big time and firm is investing in it. My two cents, if you are developer and not a PowerPoint person, if you don’t want to travel and if Deloitte is paying more than your current role, take it up. Cloud is big play right now
I know the pay structure for Cloud. I just cant do the extensive travel. A lot of my clients need international travel and it is tough. I will consider USDC a big step down for me but if the pay is good and if there is a good career path here then I can consider it. I will be joining at the Solutions Manager position
OP, The environment at USDC is the same as an offshore development center in India at a services firm. totally different from Deloitte Consulting in terms of designations and pay scale. Wouldn’t recommend unless you are getting a good pay hike.
If you have aspirations to grow and climb the ladder then do not join USDC. USDC is onshore delivery center , if you are considering to switch job to avoid travel then by all means join USDC, if you are lucky you might get local role based on the center but that also changes based on the project you take. Some projects at the USDC also require extensive travel. And let me tell you one thing very clearly, Deloitte Core is much better place than Deloitte USDC in so many ways.
Thank you very much for your input Deloitte 3 and Deloitte 4. This is exactly what I was looking for. I guess I should just keep looking.
