I've been asked to post this in the UK comp bowl. Our household TC is £225k excluding bonuses (mostly my income). Somehow we manage to save £6k a month after paying our mortgage & bills and then a further £2k into corporate pension schemes. Other people have been asking this but I’m going to ask it too. If i left a job for a new one that ended up not what was promised, how long do i need to stay? It’s been a few months. I’m especially salty because i had other killer offers that i passed up, but already big life changes have come up that make those hard, and I’m reluctant to hop again so quickly. Is staying a year and collecting the bonus the sensible play before making a move?

This question is on behalf of my friend: Her current package is 2.5lpa from a small company (3yrs exp java spring boot) . She got offer from Accenture of 6lpa (fixed) . After this she had interview with cognizant and asked for package of 7 lpa. When she recieved the offer from cognizant it was of 10lpa fixed. Most interesting part after 2 weeks she got revised offer letter from cogni without any discussion of 16lpa with 1L joining bonus. How can we analyse and suggest her regarding offer.

How to negotiate a raise for a promotion? I've been offered a job in a different group at the same company that would be a promotion and a 10% raise on my current salary. I just received a 3% annual raise 1 month ago and the 10% is on top of that. My new salary would be $106k. Market value would be closer to $110-120k based on what I've been told by recruiters for similar roles. Any advice for how to negotiate to get the offer closer to market value?
